- In an effort to open up their economy to the world, China has created a free trade zone in Shanghai. Products that were originally banned will finally be sold in China’s lucrative market. One of these products, video game consoles, will finally be legally sold in China for the first time in thirteen years. So with a market of 1.4 billion customers, 205 million of them between the ages of 0 – 24 years old, there should be plenty of excitement in the video game business world.
- Sony announced that the Playstation 4 will be available for attendants of the San Diego Comic-Con.
- Steam’s summer sale is ongoing. You can find great deals on games, some of them up to 75% off!
- Entertainment Software Association’s latest study found females make up roughly 45% of the gamer population. 46% of video game purchases are made by female gamers.
